Mohamed Boudiaf
Mohamed Boudiaf was an influential Algerian leader who played a key role in gaining independence from France. Born in 1919, he was a founding member of the National Liberation Front (FLN), which fought for Algeria’s freedom. After independence in 1962, he held various government positions but was later exiled due to political disagreements. In 1992, Boudiaf returned from exile to help stabilize the country as its president. Unfortunately, his leadership was short-lived; he was assassinated that same year. Boudiaf is remembered as a symbol of Algeria’s struggle for independence and national unity.
