Mogollon
The Mogollon (or Mogollon) refers to a cultural region and archaeological culture centered in the American Southwest, mainly in parts of Arizona and New Mexico. It dates back to around 200 AD and is known for its distinctive pottery, architecture, and subsistence practices. The Mogollon people built simple pueblos and engaged in farming, hunting, and gathering. They are considered part of the broader Ancestral Puebloan cultural tradition but had unique regional characteristics. Today, the Mogollon name is also associated with the Mogollon Rim, a prominent geological feature in Arizona, highlighting the area's natural landscape.
