Modulating wave

A modulating wave is a signal that contains information, like sound or data, which is combined with a carrier wave for transmission. Think of the carrier wave as a steady, repetitive pattern—like a continuous radio tone—that carries the information. The modulating wave alters specific aspects of this carrier, such as its amplitude, frequency, or phase, to encode the message. This process, called modulation, allows the information to travel efficiently over distances, like through radio or TV broadcasts, and then be decoded back into the original message at the receiving end.
