Moderna Vaccine

The Moderna vaccine is a type of COVID-19 vaccine that uses messenger RNA (mRNA) technology to help your immune system recognize and fight the virus. It contains instructions for making a harmless piece of the virus’s spike protein, prompting your body to produce an immune response without causing illness. If you're later exposed to the actual virus, your immune system can respond quickly to protect you. The Moderna vaccine is administered in two doses a few weeks apart and has been shown to effectively reduce severe COVID-19 illness and hospitalization.
