Models of Public Relations

Models of Public Relations describe different approaches organizations use to communicate with their audiences. The most common models are: Press Agentry, which focuses on generating media attention; Public Information, centered on spreading truthful, informative messages; Two-Way Symmetrical, emphasizing balanced dialogue and mutual understanding; and Two-Way Asymmetrical, where communication aims to influence audiences for the organization's benefit. These models help organizations choose how to build relationships, manage reputation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
