Modalities (surgical and non-surgical)
Modalities refer to different methods used to treat medical conditions. Surgical modalities involve physically changing or repairing tissues through procedures like operations. Non-surgical modalities include treatments that don’t require cutting, such as medications, physical therapy, radiation, or other therapies. Essentially, surgical modalities are invasive procedures, while non-surgical modalities are less invasive or non-invasive approaches focused on managing or curing conditions through medication or therapy. Both are selected based on the patient's condition, health status, and the goals of treatment.
