MMSE (Minimum Mean Square Error)

The Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) is a statistical method used to estimate an unknown signal or value based on noisy or imperfect data. It aims to find the estimate that, on average, is closest to the true value by minimizing the average of the squared differences between the estimate and the actual signal. Essentially, MMSE provides the best possible guess when trying to reconstruct or predict data when observations are uncertain or contain noise, ensuring the most accurate estimate in an average sense.
