MMAR (Medical Marijuana Access Regulations)

The Medical Marijuana Access Regulations (MMAR) were rules established in Canada to allow patients with certain medical conditions to legally access or grow marijuana for therapeutic purposes. Under MMAR, approved patients could obtain a registration certificate and either purchase medical marijuana from designated suppliers or grow their own. The regulations aimed to provide a safe and controlled way for patients to use cannabis medicinally, ensuring proper authorization and safety measures. MMAR was replaced by more comprehensive regulations in 2013, but it marked an important step in Canada's medical cannabis framework.
