MMA Scorecards
MMA scorecards are the official judgment sheets used by judges to determine the winner of a fight. Each judge scores each round based on key factors: effective striking, grappling, dominance, and defense. They assign a numerical score, typically 10 for the winner of a round and 9 or less for the loser, accounting for any near-falls or scoring nuances. At the end, the scores from all rounds are totaled, and the judge declares the fighter with the highest cumulative score as the winner. If scores are tied or the fight is close, the decision may go to the judges' overall impressions or be declared a draw.
