MLL (Mixed-Lineage Leukemia)
Mixed-Lineage Leukemia (MLL) is a genetic blood disorder caused by changes or mutations in a specific gene called MLL. These changes lead to the abnormal growth of immature blood cells, disrupting normal blood cell development. This can result in leukemia, a type of blood cancer characterized by excess white blood cells that don't function properly. MLL is often aggressive and more common in children, but it can also affect adults. Treatment typically involves intensive chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or stem cell transplants to try to restore normal blood cell production and prevent the spread of cancer.
