MKUltra

MKUltra was a secret CIA program initiated in the 1950s aimed at researching mind control techniques. It involved experiments with drugs, especially LSD, and other methods to influence and manipulate individuals’ mental states. Often conducted without full consent, the program sought to develop ways for espionage or interrogation purposes. It was eventually exposed in the 1970s, revealing unethical practices and violating human rights. MKUltra remains a notable example of government secretiveness and ethical violations in research.
