Mission Indians

Mission Indians are Native American tribes from California that were forcibly relocated and confined to government-established reservations during the 19th and early 20th centuries, often after Spanish missions attempted to convert and control them. They include groups like the Kumeyaay, Luiseño, and Cahuilla. Despite these hardships, many Mission Indians maintained their cultural traditions and identities.
