Minoru Yamasaki was an influential Japanese-American architect best known for designing the original World Trade Center in New York City. Born in 1912, he had a unique architectural style characterized by clean lines and an emphasis on harmony with the environment. Yamasaki’s work often included intricate details and a focus on human scale, aiming to create uplifting spaces. In addition to the World Trade Center, he also designed other notable buildings, such as the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. Yamasaki's legacy is marked by both his innovative designs and the tragic loss of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.
