Minority (legal)
In legal terms, "minority" refers to the period when a person is under the age at which they are considered an adult, typically 18 or 21 years old depending on the jurisdiction. During this time, individuals are generally regarded as legally incapable of making certain decisions or entering into binding agreements without parental or guardian approval. The concept of minority recognizes that minors may lack the maturity or experience necessary for full legal responsibility. Once a person reaches the age of majority, they gain full legal rights and responsibilities as an adult.
