Minni Minawi

Minni Minawi is a Sudanese politician and former rebel leader known for his role in the Darfur conflict. He was a key figure in the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA), which opposed the Sudanese government and fought for greater autonomy and rights for the Darfuri people. In 2006, Minawi signed the Darfur Peace Agreement, becoming the first leader to receive recognition for efforts toward peace. He has held various governmental positions since then, including serving as the Governor of Darfur.
