Minnesota Legislature

The Minnesota Legislature is the state’s law-making body, composed of two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. Together, they create, amend, and pass laws that affect Minnesotans’ daily lives, such as education, health care, and transportation. Legislators are elected by residents of Minnesota and work during the legislative session to address statewide issues. The Governor signs bills into law or vetoes them. The Legislature also approves the state budget and oversees the implementation of laws, ensuring state policies align with the needs of its citizens.
