mini-brains

Mini-brains, also known as brain organoids, are tiny, simplified versions of the human brain created in laboratories from stem cells. These organoids mimic certain structural and functional features of real brains, including some neural connections and activity patterns. They are used for research purposes, helping scientists study brain development, diseases, and potential treatments without needing to work with full-sized, complex brains. Although they resemble miniature brains, they are not conscious or capable of thoughts; they are valuable tools for advancing neuroscience safely and ethically.
