Ming Voyages

The Ming Voyages were a series of long-distance maritime expeditions conducted by the Chinese Ming Dynasty between 1405 and 1433. Led by Admiral Zheng He, these voyages aimed to showcase China's power, establish trade networks, and build diplomatic relations across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Traveling with large fleets of ships, they explored distant lands, brought back exotic goods, and promoted Chinese culture. Though impressive in scale and scope, the voyages eventually ceased, and China turned inward for centuries. These expeditions are considered significant for their maritime achievements and influence on global history and trade.
