Ming Dynasty Treasure Voyage

The Ming Dynasty Treasure Voyages were a series of large-scale maritime expeditions led by Admiral Zheng He between 1405 and 1433. The aim was to showcase China's power, establish diplomatic relations, and promote trade across Asia and Africa. These voyages involved massive fleets of ships, some much larger than European vessels at the time, reaching as far as East Africa. The expeditions helped expand China's influence, gather tribute, and demonstrate technological and naval strength. After Zheng He's death, the voyages were discontinued, focusing instead on internal issues, which contributed to China's later isolation from global exploration.
