Mindreading
Mindreading, also known as theory of mind, is the ability to understand that other people have thoughts, feelings, and perspectives different from our own. It involves recognizing that others may hold beliefs, desires, or intentions that influence their behavior. This skill develops early in childhood and is essential for effective social interactions, empathy, and communication. Mindreading is not about reading minds directly, but rather making educated guesses about what others might be thinking or feeling based on their actions, expressions, and context. It underpins our capacity for social understanding and navigating complex human relationships.
