Mind-Matter Interaction

Mind-matter interaction refers to the debate about how our thoughts and feelings (the mind) can influence the physical world (matter). In epiphenomenalism, it's argued that mental states are byproducts of physical processes in the brain and do not affect physical actions. Essentially, while our minds experience thoughts and emotions, these do not cause changes in the material world. This perspective suggests that all actions originate in the brain's physical activities, leaving our mental experiences as non-influential shadows, without a direct role in shaping our actions or reality.
