Minarets
Minarets are tall, slender towers attached to mosques, serving both functional and symbolic purposes. Historically, they are used for the call to prayer (adhan), where a muezzin announces the time for worship. Their height helps the call carry over long distances, inviting the community to prayer. Architecturally, minarets also symbolize the presence of Islam and often feature decorative elements that reflect cultural styles. They can vary widely in design, but their primary role remains as a visual and auditory marker of a mosque and its religious activities.
