Minaeans
The Minaeans were an ancient civilization and trading people from the region of modern-day Yemen, around the first millennium BCE. They were part of the larger South Arabian culture and played a significant role in regional trade networks, especially in incense, spices, and luxury goods. Known for their skilled craftsmanship, especially in metallurgy and stone carving, the Minaeans established independent city-states and engaged in commerce with distant civilizations like Egypt and Persia. Their influence declined around the 6th century CE, but they left behind archaeological sites and inscriptions that offer valuable insights into early South Arabian history and culture.
