Millenium Development Goals
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were a global set of eight objectives established in 2000 by the United Nations to improve people's lives by 2015. They aimed to reduce poverty, hunger, disease, and illiteracy, promote gender equality, improve maternal and child health, ensure environmental sustainability, and develop global partnerships. These goals provided a common framework for countries to work toward making the world fairer and healthier. By 2015, significant progress was made, though some challenges remained, leading to the development of new goals to continue this effort.
