Milky Way visibility

The Milky Way is our galaxy, visible as a faint, cloudy band stretching across the night sky. Its visibility depends on clear, dark skies away from city lights, and it’s best seen during new moon phases when the sky is darkest. In the northern hemisphere, it’s most prominent in summer and early fall, while in the southern hemisphere, it’s visible most of the year. The Milky Way appears brighter and more detailed when the sky is free from light pollution, offering a stunning view of our galaxy’s dense star-filled core and spiral arms.
