Military Caregiver Leave
Military Caregiver Leave allows eligible employees to take unpaid time off to care for a family member who is a wounded service member. Under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), this provision enables caregivers to take up to 26 weeks of leave within a 12-month period. This time can be used to assist with medical appointments, provide personal care, or manage treatment related to the service member's injury or illness. Employees are protected from losing their job or health benefits during this leave, ensuring they can focus on their loved one’s recovery without financial worry.
