Milestones of Language Development
Language development milestones are key stages in how children learn to communicate. Typically, infants start by cooing and making sounds around 2-3 months. By about 6 months, they may babble, combining sounds. Around 1 year, children often say their first words and understand simple instructions. Between ages 1-2, they gradually expand their vocabulary and begin forming small sentences. From ages 2-3, their speech becomes clearer, and they can carry on simple conversations. These milestones can vary, but they provide general guidance on typical language skills at different ages.
