Mikan drill
The Mikan drill is a basketball exercise designed to improve a player's close-range shooting and rebounding skills. The player stands under the basket, uses both hands to quickly catch and shoot the ball off the backboard or directly into the hoop, then immediately scrambles to grab the rebound. This cycle is repeated rapidly, helping to develop touch, timing, and soft hands around the rim, as well as enhancing defensive rebounding skills. It’s a highly effective drill for players looking to strengthen their scoring and rebounding ability in tight spaces close to the basket.
