Midnight zone

The Midnight Zone, also known as the bathypelagic zone, is a part of the ocean that extends from about 1,000 to 4,000 meters (3,280 to 13,123 feet) below the surface. It’s pitch dark because sunlight can't reach this depth. Conditions are cold, and pressure from the water is immense. Despite these harsh conditions, many unique creatures, like bioluminescent fish, live here, often using light to hunt or communicate. This zone is crucial for understanding deep-sea ecosystems and the diversity of life adapted to extreme environments.
