Midian
Midian was an ancient region located in northwestern Arabia, roughly corresponding to parts of modern-day northwestern Saudi Arabia and southern Jordan. It was historically significant as a nomadic and semi-nomadic area inhabited by the Midianites, a people frequently mentioned in biblical and historical texts. The region served as a crossroads for trade routes connecting Arabia, Egypt, and the Levant. Midian played a role in early biblical stories, including the story of Moses, who spent years there. Its strategic location contributed to its importance in trade, culture, and historical interactions among ancient civilizations.
