Midi-Pyrénées

Midi-Pyrénées was a historical region in southwestern France, known for its diverse landscapes including mountain ranges, fertile plains, and rivers. It was rich in cultural heritage, with medieval towns, historic sites, and unique traditions. The region was famous for its agriculture, aerospace industry, and tourism, especially in the Pyrenees mountains and the city of Toulouse, a major center for aviation and aerospace. In 2016, Midi-Pyrénées was merged with Languedoc-Roussillon to form the new Occitanie region, creating a larger administrative area that combines urban centers, natural beauty, and cultural diversity.
