Middle East history
The Middle East, often called the "cradle of civilization," has a rich history of ancient empires like the Egyptians, Persians, and Mesopotamians. It is the birthplace of major religions such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Over centuries, the area saw Persian, Greek, Arab, Ottoman, and European influences. In the 20th century, colonial powers drew new borders, leading to conflicts over land and resources. Today, the Middle East continues to experience political upheaval, regional rivalries, and efforts for stability, shaped by its historical ties, religion, and natural resources like oil.
