Microstate

A microstate is a specific, detailed configuration of a system at a microscopic level, showing exactly how each particle or component is arranged. For example, in thermodynamics, it describes the precise positions and energies of all molecules in a gas. Many microstates can correspond to the same overall condition or macroscopic property, like temperature or pressure, which are called macrostates. The concept helps us understand the system's possible internal arrangements and their probabilities, providing insight into how systems behave and evolve at the microscopic scale.
