Microcredit Summit Campaign

The Microcredit Summit Campaign is an international effort aimed at expanding access to small loans—called microcredit—for people in need, especially those in poverty or lacking traditional banking options. Its goal is to reach and empower millions of the world's poorest families by providing them with financial resources to start or grow small businesses, improve living conditions, and achieve economic independence. Since its founding in 1997, the campaign works with organizations around the globe to share best practices, track progress, and promote policies that support inclusive, responsible microfinance initiatives.
