Micafungin

Micafungin is an antifungal medication used to treat serious fungal infections, especially in hospitalized patients with weakened immune systems. It works by targeting and inhibiting a key component of fungal cell walls, which leads to the destruction of the fungi. Micafungin is administered through an intravenous (IV) line and is commonly used to prevent or treat infections like candidiasis and certain forms of yeast infections.
