Meteorite

A meteorite is a fragment of rock or metal from space that survives its passage through Earth's atmosphere and lands on the surface. These space objects originate from comets, asteroids, or even other planets. When meteoroids enter Earth's atmosphere at high speeds, they glow brightly, creating a meteor or "shooting star." If enough of the object survives the intense heat and pressure and reaches the ground, it is called a meteorite. Studying meteorites provides valuable insights into the early solar system, planetary formation, and the materials that make up celestial bodies.
