Meshed grafts
A meshed graft is a type of skin transplant used to treat wounds too large for simple coverage. The surgeon makes small cuts or incisions in the skin graft before placing it onto the wound. These cuts create a network of tiny openings that allow the graft to stretch and cover a larger area. The mesh design also helps excess blood and fluids drain away, promoting better healing and reducing the risk of infection. Over time, the graft tissue integrates with the surrounding skin, ultimately restoring the area's function and appearance.
