Meroitic Kingdom

The Meroitic Kingdom, thriving from around 300 BCE to 350 CE, was an ancient civilization located in what is now Sudan. It emerged after the decline of the Kingdom of Kush and was centered in the city of Meroƫ, known for its impressive pyramids and iron production. The Meroitic people had their own unique writing system, the Meroitic script, and practiced a blend of Egyptian religious beliefs with local customs. The kingdom engaged in trade with neighboring regions and was known for its skilled craftsmanship. It eventually declined due to various factors, including overextension and economic challenges.
