Mercosur (Southern Common Market)

Mercosur, or the Southern Common Market, is a regional trade bloc in South America that promotes economic integration and cooperation among its member countries: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, with Venezuela's membership currently suspended. Established in 1991, Mercosur aims to facilitate free trade, reduce tariffs, and enhance political ties among its members. By working together, these countries seek to boost economic growth, improve the movement of goods and services, and strengthen regional stability. Over the years, additional countries have engaged with Mercosur, either as associate members or partners, broadening its influence in the region.
