Mercenary groups
Mercenary groups are organizations composed of hired soldiers or fighters who provide military expertise and services to clients—governments, companies, or individuals—often for payment. Unlike regular national armies, mercenaries operate as private entities and are motivated primarily by financial gain. They can be involved in conflicts, security operations, or training, and their actions are driven by contracts rather than national loyalty. While sometimes used to support legitimate security needs, they also raise ethical concerns due to their autonomy, variable accountability, and potential involvement in conflict zones.
