Mental Rotation

Mental rotation is the ability to imagine moving or turning objects in your mind to see them from different angles. For example, if you see a shape and picture how it would look if rotated 90 degrees, you're using mental rotation. This skill helps us understand spatial relationships, such as packing items or reading maps, and relies on visualizing transformations without physically moving objects. It's a cognitive process that involves manipulating mental images mentally, allowing us to solve problems involving spatial understanding.
