MEN2B

MEN2B (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2B) is a rare genetic disorder that causes canerous tumors to develop in endocrine glands, like the thyroid, and nerve tissue. It also leads to distinctive physical features, such as a smooth, elongated face, thick lips, and sometimes skin issues. People with MEN2B are at higher risk for aggressive thyroid cancer and tumors called pheochromocytomas in the adrenal glands, which affect blood pressure. Early detection through genetic testing and proactive treatment, such as surgery and medication, are crucial to managing the condition and preventing serious complications.
