Memphis Model
The Memphis Model is a therapeutic approach used to treat individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). It combines principles from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) to improve emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, and self-awareness. The model emphasizes creating a supportive, validating environment while teaching clients skills to better understand and manage their emotions and relationships. Its goal is to reduce self-destructive behaviors and foster more stable, healthier connections with others, ultimately helping individuals lead more balanced and fulfilling lives.
