Memory Metal

Memory metal, also known as shape memory alloy, is a special type of metal that can "remember" and return to its original shape after being deformed. When it's bent or stretched, applying heat or removing stress causes it to revert to its pre-set shape. This property is due to its unique crystal structure, which changes in response to temperature or mechanical forces. Memory metals are used in medical devices, such as stents and orthodontic wires, as well as in robotics and aerospace, providing adaptable and resilient components that can recover their form after deformation.
