Melkor

Melkor, also known as Morgoth, is the primary antagonist in J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendarium. He was a powerful and rebellious Maiar, divine spirits created by the supreme beings called the Valar. Originally meant to help shape and maintain the world, Melkor sought to dominate and corrupt it for his own purposes. His desire for power led him to spread chaos, create dark creatures, and oppose the forces of good. Ultimately, he represents the destructive potential of pride and desire for control, embodying evil and opposition to the harmony of Middle-earth.
