Mehemed IV

Mehmed IV was an Ottoman Sultan who ruled from 1648 to 1687. His reign was marked by political instability, military conflicts, and internal challenges. Although he claimed the throne after his father’s death, real power often rested with his advisors and the Janissaries, elite soldiers who wielded significant influence. His rule saw continued wars with neighboring powers, economic difficulties, and internal unrest.
