Megatherium

Megatherium was a large prehistoric ground sloth that lived during the Pleistocene epoch. resembling an enormous modern sloth, it could reach up to 20 feet in length and weigh several tons. It was a herbivore, feeding on leaves, branches, and other plant material, and likely used its powerful limbs and claws to pull down branches. Megatherium roamed parts of South America and is known from well-preserved fossils. Its size and adaptations made it one of the largest land mammals to have ever existed, providing insight into the diversity of prehistoric megafauna.
