Median Empire
The Median Empire was a powerful ancient civilization that existed around the 7th to 6th centuries BCE in what is now Iran. It was known for uniting various tribes and cultures under its rule, playing a key role in shaping the history of the region. The Medes established a sophisticated society with impressive architecture, military strength, and a shared cultural identity. Their influence helped lay the groundwork for later Persian empires, particularly the Achaemenids. The empire eventually merged with the Persian Empire, becoming a significant part of Iran’s historical development.
