Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer's Elbow)
Medial epicondylitis, commonly known as golfer's elbow, is an overuse injury causing pain on the inner side of the elbow. It results from repetitive motions that strain the tendons connecting the forearm muscles to the bony bump on the inside of the elbow. This strain causes small tears and inflammation, leading to soreness, weakness, and discomfort especially with gripping or wrist movements. It often affects athletes, manual workers, or anyone performing repetitive arm motions. Treatment typically includes rest, ice, physical therapy, and sometimes medication, with most cases improving over time with proper care.
