Media Development Authority
The Media Development Authority (MDA) was a government agency in Singapore responsible for regulating and promoting the media industry, including television, film, print, and digital media. Its role was to ensure a vibrant, responsible, and innovative media sector that contributed to the country’s cultural and economic development. The MDA also provided licensing, content standards, and support for media companies, fostering a diverse media landscape. In 2014, it was replaced by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), which now oversees broader digital, telecommunications, and media industries.
